21 Days

Most polls show that it takes 21 days to form a habit. So, I guess that means, it's going to take 11 more days for me to be in the "habit" of exercising. I started doing The Firm exercise DVD this month. The hardest things to stick with are the things that are not habitual in your life. For example: starting a new diet plan, trying to wake up earlier, etc.

If you stick with something for 21 days, it becomes routine to you. What is it that you want to look different in your routine? For me, it's time with God and exercise. So, for the next 21 days, I am committed to making these a priority. We'll see if this "habit" kicks in!

Fun 21 day fact: For every night that you don't wash your face - you age your face 21 days! Can you believe that? I heard that as a teenager and I have washed my face EVERY NIGHT since then!

21 Days..that's not too bad. Stick with it, whatever it is, get over that hump and you've formed a GOOD habit!

I'm trying to start a habit of waking up earlier so I can have my quiet time with God before my 3 year old wakes up. I do well for a few days straight and then 'fall off the wagon'. I do the same thing with my healthy eating habit. Why does it seem so hard to go longer than 5 days on a new goal?! Maybe I'll put a countdown of 21 on the frig to inspire me to keep going!

20 more days of no sugar or sweetner...

I'd be interested in a recap on The Firm.

Sooooo, if you wash your face three times a day, can it make up for all of those decades you've lost from missing face washes? I've never heard that, Ang! All the face regimen people need to do is put that slogan on their campaigns and they'll make MORE millions!

Cute "21" graphic. Way to spiiiice it up! Speaking of, I think you should post what you did for your "spice" on Saturday! That was pulitzer price worthy for posts!

It really IS hard to stick with something. I used to have no problem cutting out sugar or doing some kind of healthy eating goal but now that I stay home with my baby, I find myself sneaking over to the kitchen a little more when I get hungry. YIKES! I need to keep this 21 day goal in mind. THanks for the challenge!

I"ve gotten a bit lazy with taking care of myself since staying home. THanks for the blog. This is definitely some motivation.
