Thrifty Thursday

This is my very first post and I have to admit I'm pretty nervous to hit the big orange "publish post" button. I'm new to the blog world. Now, don't get me wrong...I read blogs all the time. I just never comment or post. I was told there's a name for people like me- lurkers. Is that right? Well, I am a lurker no more! Just be kind to me as I get the hang of this...

So, I will be doing a weekly post called "Thrifty Thursday" to give you PRACTICAL TOOLS on how to save money. There are plenty of websites that list coupon deals, sales, etc. and I will be sure to give you some of my favorites. However, I found when I began my journey of saving money it was difficult to understand HOW to do it. How can I use my coupons to create a shopping list? How should I plan my weekly meals? How can I make this work for my family and not just be an ideal that will never be met?

My goal is to be an easy and fun resource to teach you the in's and out's of honoring God with your finances. We'll start with the basics and slowly build a strong financial tower. Won't you join me?

Your mission this week: Buy the Sunday paper. That's it. On my way home from church I stop and buy two copies. Trust me you'll be so happy you have the coupons when I teach you how to use them to save big money!

Until next Thursday,
Richelle

I am excited Richelle! My husband and I are doing Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University right now and I would love to see how I can save more money. I have never gotten the paper or used coupons, but am excited to follow start. Your knowledge will be very helpful to me! Thanks for doing this!
